Founder

With over 25 years of experience leading organizations across high-tech, aviation, tourism, and the nonprofit sector, Deborah Ostreicher has built her career on the power of clear, confident communication. She earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Maryland, her MBA in International Business from American University, and a certificate in Leadership Communications from Harvard University. A performer since age five and a coach trusted by hundreds of clients worldwide, Deborah founded Distinguished Communications to help individuals, teams, and organizations transform the way they communicate.

Stephanie Nowack

Lead Facilitator

Stephanie Nowack brings more than 30 years of experience in communications, marketing, and strategic planning, with leadership roles at Motorola, Bank of America, United Way, and most recently as President and CEO of the Tempe Tourism Office. She has facilitated strategic planning processes for both corporate and nonprofit organizations, led crisis communications training for senior engineers, and served as faculty at Arizona State University. Stephanie holds an undergraduate degree from Colorado State University and an MBA from Arizona State University.

David Weissman

Director of PR & Crisis

David Weissman brings a rare combination of legal and communications expertise to every engagement, having spent more than a decade as an East Coast litigation attorney before building a distinguished career in public relations at R&R Partners and serving organizations including Maricopa County and Arizona State University. As owner of MyPRBulldog.com, he specializes in earning national media coverage and guiding clients through reputation management and crisis response. His work has been recognized by the Public Relations Society of America, Phoenix Chapter.

Jill Philippe

Jill Philippe is an award-winning strategic sales executive with decades of experience in tourism and event management, and a deep belief that effective communication is the foundation of success in any industry. Her international background and infectious enthusiasm make her a dynamic partner for teams looking to sharpen how they connect, present, and perform.

Denise Hart

Marketing Communications Manager

Denise Hart is an award-winning marketing and sales executive with more than 20 years of experience leading teams across the retail, sports marketing, and chamber of commerce sectors, including leadership roles at the Tempe and Apache Junction Chambers and Nike's sports marketing division. A recognized media spokesperson and large-scale event leader, she has been honored as Businesswoman of the Year by the City of Tempe and received the Maxi Gold Award for Marketing Excellence.

Debra Gettleman

Trainer

Debra Rich Gettleman is an award-winning journalist, broadcaster, and career advisor with over 15 years of experience coaching professionals in media training, presentation skills, and career transition. A professional actor, speaker, and spokesperson, she co-founded Executive Impact Consulting and served as a senior consultant with Right Management, where she helped clients fuse their professional expertise with their personal values to communicate with authenticity and confidence.

Aaron Peterson

Team Development Trainer

Aaron Peterson is an adjunct faculty member at Arizona State University, where he teaches in the Certified Public Manager and Certified Municipal Clerk programs, and serves as Leadership Manager for the ASU Mandela Washington Fellowship Program, sponsored by the U.S. State Department. He has delivered leadership training in Guam, Kenya, and Madagascar, and holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from ASU and an MBA from Western International University.
